2526 Oak Class we 24th April
Everyone in Oak class was very excited upon their return from the Easter holidays as this half term we are rehearsing for our Year 5 play! This year’s play is ‘Hoodwinked,’ a comical version of Robin Hood. All the children have been trying hard to learn their lines and we have started practising some of the songs, as well as finding out where we need to be standing on the stage.
Alongside play rehearsals we have been learning about percentages in Maths lessons and finding their equivalent fractions and decimals.
In English we have been polishing our persuasive arguments to an adult or parents. The children have been learning how to edit and improve their pieces of writing to make it more effective.
Our new topic this term is Raging Rivers. This week the children recapped their knowledge of the water cycle by playing the water cycle game and trying to answer as many questions correctly as possible.
