The Paper Bag Princess
What an exciting week it has been! On Monday, we had a visit from Mr Bumble the pony (kindly brought into school by Mrs Pilcher). This gave us all chance to wear our crowns and shields, and go for a pony ride around the playground. It has also been science week, so we have been looking at the differences between 'hot and cold'. In the afternoon, we used ice paints to colour a large piece of paper.
On Tuesday, we came into school to find that a baby dragon had hatched. We gave her lots of cuddles and suggested names for her. In the afternoon, we made cakes... apparently, that's what baby dragons eat! We had a look at the kitchen and some of the potential dangers there.
On Wednesday, we sorted pictures of kitchen appliances into categories of hot or cold and then felt 2 mugs, to identify which was warm and which was cold. We watched an experiment that Miss Player was doing in Holly Class to make Bubble Snakes.
On Thursday, we had a message from Mummy Dragon, to say that she wanted to meet us in order to thank us for looking after baby Susie so well. We followed a trail of dragon's eggs and found her waiting in the fire pit. She had left the supplies for us to make hot chocolate with the Kelly kettle. We talked about fire as we enjoyed our yummy drink.
The very busy week finished on Friday, and culminated in the whole school paper plate challenge. What fun we had, flying our planes.
We hope you have a lovely half term and look forward to hearing news of your adventures. When we return to school, we will be busy taking part in the 30 Days wild challenge, where each school day, we spend time outside communing with nature.
