2526 Oak wc 6th October 2025
We had an exciting afternoon yesterday exploring the tomb of Tutankhamun! We looked for artefacts and mapped out their location before discovering the burial chamber itself! In our RE lessons over the last couple of weeks we have been learning about Karma showing the effects through games of Snakes and Ladders.
In Maths, Oak class have been exploring addition and subtraction, looking at using the inverse operation to check and estimate our answers. We have also been working hard to understand how to round a number to the nearest 10, 100, 1000 and 10,000. In the next couple of weeks, we will be moving on to multiplication and division.
In English, we have been learning about narrative poems and exploring the work of Michael Rosen. Oak class have been spotting features of narrative poems and have started turning their own anecdotes into poems, which we wait for in anticipation!
Oak have been exploring the work of Frida Kahlo in their art lessons and practising their sketching skills. Their PE lesson have been taken up with netball and football practise, in preparation for the tournaments coming up.
