Sharing a Shell
As we near the end of term, life in Acorn Class has been rather busy. On Monday, our Nursery 2 met their buddies and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon at the Teddy Bear's Picnic. Meanwhile our Nursery 1 children had a lovely indoor picnic with Holly Class.
On Thursday, most of the class went on our annual All Things Wild trip. We had great fun exploring the park together, enjoying a picnic in the shade, a dino train ride and we finished the afternoon in the soft play area. The children and adults coped very well with the heat, although we were all wilting by 2pm!
As the heat ramped up by the end of the week, we took the children on to the field for water play, as an attempt to keep cool. Those that chose to take part had great fun, even though we all got wet, including Miss Hayward and Mrs Shiels!
In between all of this excitement, our learning focused on the story of Sharing a Shell; a story about a homeless hermit crab who looks makes friends along his journey. It has been a good week and we look forward to an even busier week next week!
